Notes
- 64 bit versions of Microsoft SQL Server are supported.
- All current Windows updates must be applied prior to installation.
- A server dedicated to DDM is highly recommended.
- The recommendations above are the minimum recommended. It may be necessary to increase resource depending on the individual circumstances and amount of data stored in DDM.
- SQL Express 2025 is limited to 50 GB database size (increased from previous 10 GB limit).
- SQL Express is limited to the lesser of 1 socket or 4 cores for the database engine.
- SQL Express is limited on memory usage to 1,410MB Buffer pool, 352MB Columnstore segment cache and 353MB Memory-optimization per database.
Existing Server Restrictions
In the rare event that an existing server is used, the following specific software should NOT be already or subsequently installed on the same server, as compatibility cannot be guaranteed:
- Microsoft Exchange
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft WSUS / SUS
- Any web sites, public or internal
- Other database software including, but not limited to ERP/MRP
- The server must not be a Domain Controller
